As part of the Association’s effort to produce and promote knowledge in African Rhetoric, we are establishing two main publications, AJR: African Journal of Rhetoric and Balagha: Essays on African Rhetoric. The African Journal of Rhetoric (AJR) is going to be purely an Academic Journal through which we will disseminate results of rigorous research in African rhetoric. Balagha (‘eloquence’ in Kiswahili) is intended to be a monthly online publication which will feature short articles and essays of not more than 1 500 words from different contributors on different aspects of rhetoric and information on different rhetoric related activities on the continent and beyond. The editors will inform members of current themes. We crave your support for these publications. AJR Guidelines are provided on this website. This website contains vital information about the Association and its aspirations. We hope that you will visit regularly and grow the Association with us.
